Blind First

Words having become heavy
We sat barefoot beside the ocean
Caressed by the quiet of God
Shore soothing us

Your eyelashes feathered the glowing sky
Stoking embers within me
Restless, determined to stay beside you
On the chance a dream betrayed itself
To me

A fool
I wanted to rest inside of you
Day-dreaming your affection
Quenching my thirst
Squeezing life into a drink of water

Spilled purposefully
An offering
Our wetness familiar
Enjoyed
Wanted

Smoothing my hand over the water
I found your thigh
Melted into the strength of my grip
Trembling painfully
The kiss of my fingertips warmed
By breaths rising from your arousal

Sunset lingered, unsure
Last look upon a favorite danger
Fragile moments easily killed with unbridled desire
Aching along millimeters of chemistry
I begged, burning with hope
As you watched me

And then your movements said yes
Eyes fixed on mine
With full knowing you slew me
Tender touch of your lips upon my mouth

Even as my heart caked and bled
My soul seemed embalmed in the scent of your hair
How easily I suffered
Tasting the sweet spice of your attention
